International Graduate Development Program

The International Graduate Development Program is a development program for new graduates in the UK and Europe, created to equip participants with leadership skills and cross-functional experiences. Throughout the program, participants learn key leadership skills such as presenting with impact, inspirational leadership, team effectiveness, and managing change.

About the Program

Our CPI International Graduate Development program aims to develop capable graduate students across various job functions into impactful professionals with strong leadership skills, quality relationships, and the ability to demonstrate Berry’s core behaviors and values.

The 18-month long program consists of virtual and in-person workshops to teach practical skills application and build commercial awareness of Berry's business context, processes, and customers. This includes a six-month placement at one of our global facilities to gain real-world experiences through project work and general and specialist training.

Program Requirements and Eligibility

We are searching for analytical, proactive, and creative students who are passionate about delivering innovative solutions for our customers and can adequately demonstrate our core values of partnership, excellence, growth, and safety. Our graduate program is available for students across a variety of job functions, including finance, operations, sales, marketing, distribution, quality, and product development.

  • Analytical/methodical approach to problem assessment and development of solutions
  • Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills
  • Agility - geographically mobile
  • Team player and capable of working independently
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Excellent written and oral English language skills (Bilingual candidates have a distinct advantage)

Applicants should be working towards or recently achieved at least a 2.1 degree in any discipline, have relevant work experience and qualifications, and possess the legal entitlement to work in the country of the program they are applying.

Assessment Process

Candidates are selected for our graduate program based on the relevance of their experiences and qualifications to their applied program. Once selected, candidates are invited to complete several online assessments and participate in a series of online and in-person job interviews. This includes a personal interview with our senior management team for candidates to gain further insight into their applied program and discuss their career ambitions.

Successful candidates will be offered a placement shortly after the assessment and interview process. Placements will begin in September 2023.

Accommodations

Selected candidates will be allocated a host site near one of our facilities in Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Poland, UK, China, or India. During the program, participants will also have the opportunity to visit other sites within our Berry Global network. Flexibility will be required as placements will be in non-host countries.

Program Duration

Workshops will be completed over an 18-month period, with discussions about permanent opportunities available during the latter part of the program.
