Our social responsibility efforts focus on health and well-being for our employees, and on supporting the communities where they live and work.

United Way

With facilities across the nation, we have found that working with the United Way affords us the ability to provide assistance in communities from coast to coast.  In 2011, we began a matching program for employee donations to local United Way agencies. Whether it is through giving or volunteering - at Berry Plastics we are dedicated to making a difference in our communities.

Goshen, Indiana Sustainable Food Bank

The employees at our Goshen, Indiana, facility have come up with a unique way to give back. Faced with an ailing economy, high unemployment, and struggling area food banks in the Goshen area, one employee came up with an idea - to use Berry Plastics' land to plant and harvest food that could be donated to local food banks and pantries. By partnering with a local orchard and local tractor enthusiast club, Berry Plastics' Goshen facility has been able to donate corn and squash to feed the hungry in the area.

Earth Day

For several years across numerous locations, we have engaged in Earth Day activities, which include visiting area grade schools and community venues to provide information surrounding the importance of reducing, reusing, and recycling all types of materials, and hosting tours through our facilities to demonstrate the reuse of plastic materials.

We also host Earth Day activities and education sessions at our facilities in downtown Evansville, Indiana, where more than 2,000 kids attend annually.
